Project Description

The Plot was a corner one with roads on two sides. Owing to its location in an upcoming neighbourhood the Client was clear on maximizing the potential of FSI that would be allowed on this Plot. Hence the School was conceptualized with a maximum floor plate with punctures in the middle in the form of Courtyards / light-wells. These ‘break-out’ spaces would bring in light & wind while giving an opportunity for the students and teachers alike, to interact informally. Corridors have been planned to be very wide with Alcove spaces along them. Some of these open inwards to enable storage spaces while the outer ones are visualized as multi-functional spaces for storage lockers, seated spaces or display areas. Vertical cut-outs across floors towards ends of Corridors will happen with the aim of vertically connecting the students across various floors.

Phase-1 of this School is constructed with 2 floors and Phase-2 with additional 4 floors should begin soon.
